Spider-Man is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, he first appeared in the anthology comic book Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1962) in the Silver Age of Comic Books. He has been featured in comic books, television shows, films, video games, novels, and plays.

When Spider-Man first appeared in the early 1960s, teenagers in superhero comic books were usually relegated to the role of sidekick to the protagonist. The Spider-Man comic series broke ground by featuring Peter Parker, a high school student from Queens, New York, as Spider-Man’s secret identity, whose “self-obsessions with rejection, inadequacy, and loneliness” were issues to which young readers could relate.[8] While Spider-Man had all the makings of a sidekick, unlike previous teen heroes such as Bucky and Robin, Spider-Man had no superhero mentor like Captain America and Batman; he had learn the lesson for himself that “with great power comes great responsibility” — a line included in a text box in the final panel of the first Spider-Man’s origin story but later retroactively attributed to his guardian, his late Uncle Ben Parker.

Marvel has featured Spider-Man in several comic book series, the first and longest-lasting of which is The Amazing Spider-Man. Over the years, the Peter Parker character developed from a shy, nerdy New York City high school student to a troubled but outgoing college student, to a married high school teacher to, in the late 2000s, a single freelance photographer. In the 2000s, he joins the Avengers. Doctor Octopus also took on the identity for a story arc spanning 2012–2014, following a body swap plot in which Peter appears to die.[9] Marvel has also published comic books featuring alternate versions of Spider-Man, including Spider-Man 2099, which features the adventures of Miguel O’Hara, the Spider-Man of the future; Ultimate Spider-Man, which features the adventures of a teenaged Peter Parker in the alternate universe; and then Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man, which depicts the teenager named Miles Morales, who takes up the mantle of Spider-Man after Ultimate Peter Parker’s apparent death. Miles later became a superhero in his own right and was brought into mainstream continuity, where he sometimes works alongside Peter.

Spider-Man is one of the most popular and commercially successful superheroes.[10] He has appeared in countless forms of media, including several animated TV series including the first original animated series Spider-Man with Paul Soles voicing Spider-Man, a live-action television series, syndicated newspaper comic strips, and multiple series of films. Spider-Man was first portrayed in live-action by Danny Seagren in Spidey Super Stories, a The Electric Company skit from 1974 to 1977.[11] In live-action films, Spider-Man has been portrayed by actors Tobey Maguire in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, by Andrew Garfield in two films directed by Marc Webb,[12] and in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by Tom Holland. Reeve Carney starred originally as Spider-Man in the 2010 Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.[13] Spider-Man was also been voiced by Jake Johnson and Chris Pine in the animated film called Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Spider-Man has been well-received as a superhero and comic book character, and he is often ranked as one of the most popular and iconic comic book superheroes of all time and one of the most popular characters in all fiction.

  1. i am here to put my 2 cents here on how to make spider-man 3 and by extention the spiderman trilogy better. ok so to make spiderman 3 good id need to make some changes to spiderman 2, i would like gwen stacy to be introduced there as his partner in studies and as the niece of dikovitch, id like her to be his new love intrest and him to realise that they both have more in common than him and mj, because the theme of the movies is to let go of your dreams and desires. id like for mj to go with the wedding, maybe initially to date jameson because she wants to make peter jealous but then she bonds with him after an interaction with jameson and peter where jameson really does love her and peter wants whats best for her tells her how to get to her since he is her best pal. maybe gwen will eventually know of his identity in some way or another but peter will feel safer with her as his love intrest than mj.

now onto spiderman 3, it will start with a time jump, peter's life is better, he is doing well as spiderman, he is doing well in uni with gwen, his relationship with gwen had deepend more and more and he is still in contact with mj and jameson and in very good terms with them. i would like there to still be a symbiot and eddy brock but no venom, the movie's theme would be how to deal with vengence, harry will become green goblin but he will be a lot more sadistic like his father to avenge him proper, he will try to make his life a torment and hire a bunch of people to mess with him, including sandman, shocker, rhino, scorpion and mysterio, all enemies that had been arrested by spiderman and all have their own intrest, but are only there to fight him, so yes im going for more or less a sinister six movie. so i think how spiderman got the symbiot in the animated series should be good, but this time harry is trying to kill jameson as he goes back to earth on a space shuttle or somth as they carry a symbiot sample from mars or somthing, and thats how it get attached to peter. but ultimately how the 3rd act would end is that peter will finally dawn the black suit and it will look more than just the regular one but black and goes to save gwen stacy from harry, and harry kills her afterwards and call themselves "equals", afterwards peter either kills harry or harry kills himself trying to kill peter and it ends on that note more or less.

havent really thought about spiderman 4 but somewhere in there peter discard of the symbiot and black cat and venom will be there somehow

  2. This movies, same as the Batman ones, are live action cartoons made for kids and teenagers. Being an adult and trying to criticize and/or defend them is the dumbest thing ever.

  3. Honestly bro, I love this film and had the two movies on DVD and watched them so many times as a kid, it was so beautiful, even with it's flaws, but I still enjoy the trilogy, even tho 3 is very peculiar….

  4. Harry's love for his father clouded his judgement. He'd rather side with the idea that he was loved by a monster than to forgive his friend (until the end of course). I also like to think Bernard was like a second father and him telling the truth verbally for the first time was the wake-up call and that Bernard was his aunt may in a sense.

  5. Thing about MJ is that the thing that happened with John is her fault. She's an adult, she chose to get into a relationship with John, get married to a man she barely knew, yeah sure she's trying to force herself to move on or whatever but she still fucked with another man's emotions. The proper thing to do would take some responsibility and go through with the marriage. Would she have been happy? No but too bad, she chose to do this and now she has to live with it. She absolutely humiliated him and it's played off for a joke. That was selfish and just messed up. Let alone the fact that she literally cheats in every movie. I don't care how not serious your relationship is, cheating is cheating. There's no justifying her behavior honestly she's a bitch.

  6. I love this video, but I disagree on a few quick points:

    1. The CGI and visuals are pretty strong for a 2007 movie, which is more than I can say about murky and poorly rendered visuals in today’s Marvel/DC films with rushed production.

    2. Tobey Maguire was and still IS Spider-Man! I know for a fact that if RDJr was replaced by another actor in the role of Iron Man, you best believe there’d be a shit ton of backlash. Same thing goes to Chris Evans as Captain America, Ryan Reynolds’s Deadpool, Henry Cavill’s Superman, or J.K Simmons’ J. Jonah Jameson. I kinda dig Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man more than the one from the MCU, but Tobey Maguire will always be my #1 Spider-Man. He just really stands out like a sore thumb. I’d honestly rather have corny and cheesy films like the Raimi Spidey trilogy than boring, cliche and formulaic like the MCU. That’s for damn sure

Anyways bro, I love your content!

  7. Elfman opted not to return for Spiderman 3 having had a bad experience working with him on 2. Seemingly they've since patched things up though since they worked together for Doctor Strange 2

  8. Spider-man 1 Responsibility

    Spider-man 2 Dreams and Sacrifice

    Spider-man 3 Forgivness

These Movies Made my Childhood and teach very good life lessons however it would have been better that Spider-Man 4 never happen it would have been Trash to be honest
